CHRISTOPHER GAVIN – DIRECTOR

Christopher is an award-winning director with over twenty years in film and television. He spent seven years at live events agency Spectrum Communications (now Jack Morton Worldwide), and, as a freelance director, made many programmes for clients such as Orange, BMW, Hewlett-Packard and Waitrose.

He worked on a series of four short films about HIV/AIDS in South Africa, 'The Harsh Divide', for Channel 4's short film slot and directed a film, 'The Lost Ones', in the Cannes Film Festival 24-hour short film festival. He has also won a silver IVCA award.

As the senior video director at Odd Man Out, Christopher makes sure that all productions attain the highest levels of creativity and quality - attributes for which Odd Man Out has become rightly known.

Christopher, as a percussionist, is often to be seen playing gigs around London.

JAMES MCCARTHY – PRODUCER

James has created over 300 commercials and television programmes worldwide. Commercials included Ronseal, Paxo, Toyota, Barclays Bank, Sony, Budweiser and BMW.

He won two Clios and an IPA award for his commercials work.

Broadcast television and film work includes: Bedrooms and Hallways, The Sculptress, Secret Identity and Hag's Head. He has been a script doctor and creative consultant on many comedy and drama series, both in the UK and overseas.

James also ran, with his father, a film and television post-production house. During this time the studio won three Emmys and two BAFTAs.

After the company was sold, James worked as a freelance producer/writer.

As the senior producer, James project manages every Odd Man Out production from overseeing budgetary control and sourcing crews, to casting and client liaison.

He is a movie buff and owns the scruffiest dog in South West London.
